MEN - Off Our Backs

I discovered this band on Sheena Beaston via the Hype Machine Radio Show.

MEN is a Brooklyn-based band and art/performance collective that centralizes their dynamic on the power of live performance and radical potential of dance music.


The duo formed in 2007 by Johanna Fateman and JD Samson, two of the three members of Le Tigre, however, when they began to collaborate on new tracks, efforts were combined with JD’s other new project Hirsute. Borrowing members from this act, MEN is now comprised of JD Samson, Michael O’Neill and Ginger Brooks Takahashi (with Johanna and artist Emily Roysdon contributing as writers, consultants, and producers.)
