Cocorosie - Noah’s Ark

A new artist named MIchelle Blades has been getting some blog love in recent weeks. When I heard her track Strawberry Ghost on yvynyl’s Banannnas mixtape, I thought she must be one of the Cocorosie sisters. Turns out there’s no affiliation, but it inspired me to revisit the terrific work of Bianca “Coco” and Sierra “Rosie” Casady.

Noah’s Ark is the title track of Cocorosie’s sophomore release. Fun facts about the album:
1. It features guest appearances from Antony Hegarty, Devendra Banhart and French hip-hopper Spleen.
2. The album cover was voted one of the worst of all time by The Guardian and Pitchfork.
